We have developed this information to provide further guidance on the requirement not to re-open Carway CP School at the start of September term to ensure the safety of pupils and staff.
This list will be updated regularly to provide as much information as possible.
All pupils will be provided for at Gwynfryn School.
We understand that the timing of this decision is frustrating for everyone. The necessary further investigations were undertaken when the school buildings were vacant during the summer holidays and the Council has received structural advice that the necessary reassurance could not be guaranteed that Block Three within the school estate is structurally safe.
Arrangements to transport pupils to Gwynfryn are being put in place and will be communicated to all parents in the coming days.
At this stage, we are unable to provide a timeframe for these changes while further assessment of the school building is ongoing to find a suitable way forward.
All teaching and support staff employed by the school will be relocated within the federation. Further discussions with staff will take place before pupils return to school.
Pupils can wear their Carway CP Primary School uniform while attending Gwynfryn School.
Yes, all essential information will be transferred to Gwynfryn School.
Yes, your child will continue to receive free school meals.
Yes, all pupils who wish to attend Breakfast Club can do so at Gwynfryn School.
Carway pupils can attend the after-school club at Gwynfryn School.
Any parent/guardian that wishes their child to attend any other school instead is welcome to apply using the usual school admissions process.
Work is ongoing to identify suitable provision for children attending Cylch Meithrin, with more information provided to parents as soon as possible.
